Time is one of the most valuable assets we have. Once gone we can never get it back.

Timepieces were invented thousands of years ago in various forms and complexity.

It is believed that the keeping of time via portable and stationary sun-dials were probably developed in Egypt or Mesopotamia.

The ancient Egyptians were the first to split the day into two 12-hour periods. They used obelisks to track the movement of the sun. (aka time) They developed water clocks, (similar to today’s hourglass).

Candle clocks, timesticks, and hourglasses were also used as ancient timekeeping devices.

Movado ESQ Swiss Watches are a quality, luxury watch.

Movado was founded in 1881 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland by Achilles Ditesheim. In 1905 the company was named Movado which meant “Continuous movement or always in motion” in the Esperanto language.

Today they are still known for their quality and selection in luxury watches. They make watches under the brand names: Movado, Concord, ESQ, Vizio, and they have a licensing agreement to make watches carrying the Coach brand.
